The Church: A User's Guide

It is no secret that church congregations experience problems and conflict. Many of these come from failing to understand the Bible’s teaching about the church and our place in it. Based on a study of the Epistle to the Ephesians, this seminar will grow your excitement about the church and will teach you how to be a productive part of it.

John McVay is President of Walla Walla University. Born in the Northwest, he migrated to the South where he attended academy and college and began pastoral ministry. He has served as a falculty member at Pacific Union College and as dean of the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary, Andrews University. He holds a PhD in New Testament studies from the University of Sheffield and writes regularly on the Epistle to the Ephesians and the theme of the church in the New Testament. John and his wife Pam have two grown children, Marshall and Macy.
