The story of Esther is an epic classic. It has heroes, villains, manipulation, action, suspense, you name it - it's there! Isn't that the reality of the human race, in this world of sin? Yet through this incredible saga, God is quietly (His name is never mentioned) yet decisively working all things together for the good of His people. This week, we will study this incredible story and dig a little deeper to discover the lessons that God wants us to learn from Esther's story as we continue to trust Him and know that He too, is working things out for our good. | Tony Anobile has served as president of the Arizona Conference since 2008. A graduate of Montemorelos University in Mexico, Anobile began his ministry in the Southern California Conference, first as Pathfinder director and then as associate youth director. He then went on to serve as associate pastor of the Camarillo and Eagle Rock churches, and completed his Master of Arts in religion from Loma Linda University. In 1994, he accepted the challenge to serve as the collegiate/young adult director for the Southern California Conference, the first position of its kind in the North American Division. From 1997-2002, he served as senior pastor of the Eagle Rock church, and then he returned to the conference office to work as assistant to the president. In 2003, Anobile was called to be executive secretary and youth & family life ministries director for the Arizona conference, positions he held until he became president. Anobile has been happily married to Lisa (Bramlett) for 23 years. They have three children: Tony, Jr., and Aurianna, college students at Southern Adventist University, and Andrew, a high school senior living at home. Anobile has a passion for preaching about Jesus and finds his joy in spending time with his family and in leading the conference in its mission to win Arizona and the world for Jesus. |
